Smithfield Gardens provides a special combination of housing, supportive services, personalized assistance, and health care designed to respond to the specific needs of individuals who require help with activities of daily living.

 

Our supportive  services are available to meet scheduled and unscheduled needs while promoting maximum dignity and  independence for each resident. These services include hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, transferring, ambulation, eating, and medication management.

 

Prospective residents meet with a member of the nursing staff prior to moving in to determine the level of personalized service required.  We can provide from one hour per week to 25 hours per week of personalized service depending upon need.

 

In addition to assisted living services, we provide the following services to our residents:                                                                            

¨   Weekly personal laundry

¨   Weekly linen laundry

¨   Weekly housekeeping

¨   Daily social and recreational activities

¨   Transportation scheduling for medical appointments, local shopping,   

     and activities

¨   Coordination of services

¨   Regular trash pick up

¨   24-hour staffing

Smithfield Gardens is a Managed Residential Community and is overseen by the Connecticut Department of Public Health.  We offer assisted living services through a contractual arrangement with Utopia Assisted Living Services, Inc., a Connecticut licensed assisted living services agency.
